Aah! The simple pleasures of life I say! This morning I was making a database of hoteliers and was separating the first name, last name and salutation. This particular 'name' was uni-sexual. The problem was 'it' was a hi-profile person from one of the leading hotel groups in India. I had to find out what salutation to use. I had the cell number. Dialed to find out whether it was a male or female voice answering the call. A deep-throated male voice guffawed "hello". Like a smitten high-schooler I just gave him a blank-prank call and disconnected the line.
The person, as confused as a lab-mouse, called back - the intercom line connects to the reception. I got a call from the reception asking if I had called this man. I nodded a no-no into the phone.
Now I'm left with a few dilemmas-to-be-handled. This man might call up my boss and get me into trouble. And imagine the trauma if he's one of those loud-voiced dykes! yikes! back to work :)
But seriously! Worth it ;)

Nokia 5235

The worst 8.5k I've spent this year is on Nokia 5235. It has a horrible touchpad that gets stuck when you press the backspace button and the forward arrow key. The Ovi music is such a humbug. You almost never connect to the site either through your phone or even through the internet it has sign-in problems, leaving you frustrated. The phone itself is so huge to carry around. PLUS the phone has the worst network reception. Disappointing and surprising, this coming from Nokia, which gave us wonders like 1100, 6600, N series and the like.
I regret the hasty decision of having bought this cell after my beloved Sony W810i of 4 years was stolen by some ******* in Maddur Bus Stand.
Please don't ever make the mistake of buying Nokia 5235 unless you don't mind 8.5k down the drain. Not worth it!
